Product Introduction
Product Introduction
DLC coated seal ring is a modified seal ring that deposits diamond-like carbon coating (DLC) on the surface of the seal ring matrix through PVD/PACVD process. DLC coating has hardness close to diamond and extremely low friction coefficient, which greatly improves the surface performance of the seal ring.
Technical Parameters
Parameter | Specification |
Coating Hardness | 2000~5000 HV |
Friction Coefficient | 0.05~0.2, up to 0.001 in vacuum |
Coating Thickness | 2~20μm |
Maximum Operating Temperature | 400℃ |
Performance Features & Core Advantages
- Ultra-high Hardness & Wear Resistance: The coating has extremely high hardness, the wear rate is 1-3 orders of magnitude lower than that of bare steel, with extremely strong wear resistance.
- Ultra-low Friction Coefficient: The friction coefficient under dry friction is extremely low, close to super lubrication, greatly reducing friction power consumption.
- High Surface Finish: The surface roughness of the coating can reach nanometer level, reducing medium adhesion and improving sealing performance.
Advantages Over Similar Products
Compared with ordinary cemented carbide seal rings, DLC coating has lower friction coefficient, less wear, and at the same time, the surface is smoother, the anti-adhesion ability is stronger, suitable for high cleanliness and low friction working conditions. Compared with CVD diamond coating, DLC process temperature is lower, will not cause matrix deformation, and the cost is also lower, suitable for medium and low temperature working conditions.
Main Application Scenarios
- Precision Mechanical Seal: Seals for precision instruments and medical devices
- Dry Friction Working Conditions: Unlubricated seals, high speed seals
- High Cleanliness Working Conditions: Clean seals for semiconductor and pharmaceutical industries
